There has been so much interest in the two concerts to be given by André Rieu on 27 and 28 June at the Amsterdam ArenA as part of his World Stadium Tour that they are now almost sold out. The last tickets will go on sale this weekend, including further seats in the best categories.

For André Rieu and his Johan Strauss Orchestra this is the national première of the World Stadium Tour, after its spectacular world première in Toronto, Canada and its more recent European première in Düsseldorf.

The gigantic stage is a faithful copy of the famous Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, better known as the castle of the Empress Sissi, and only just fits lengthways into the Arena. This is the largest stage ever taken on tour by any artist, with a width of 125 metres, a depth of 30 metres and a height of 35 metres and complete with ice rinks, an enormous ballroom, fountains and 6 megascreens.

Concert-goers at both occasions in Amsterdam will be treated to a very full concert entitled ‘A Romantic Evening in Vienna’ featuring not only André Rieu and his Johan Strauss Orchestra, but also hundreds of artists including 80 Vienna Debutantes from Vienna’s famous Elmayer Dance School, the equally famous Vienna State Opera Ballet, 60 skaters from the Vienna figure-skating association, male and female soloist singers and much more.

André Rieu, who has had success all over the world, will be taking this programme to Brussels, Paris and Australia among other places throughout the year.
