Hot on the heels of the first succesful concerts of his 2012 UK and Ireland tour, André Rieu’s new holiday DVD/Blu-ray release “Home For Christmas” entered the UK Music Video chart at number 1. Violin master André Rieu enjoys 5 of the top 40 in the Music Video chart.

Home for Christmas
The “Home For Christmas” program is recorded primarily at Rieu’s home, a romantic medieval castle in the Dutch town of Maastricht where the musketeer D’Artagnan was said to have had his last breakfast. Together with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, soloists and choir, André Rieu performs 26 holiday classics in his snowy, beautiful decorated garden and Saint Pieter Church across the street from his home. The repertoire ranges from traditional Christmas classics to emotional ballads.

At the moment Rieu is in the UK for his “An unforgettable evening with André Rieu” Tour. Tonight André Rieu will perform in Belfast. Followed by 9 concerts in Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, London and Birmingham. For some of the concerts a few tickets are still available.
