Dutch King of the Waltz and most successful violinist in the world, André Rieu, has sold the sensational number of 33.000 tickets in only 15 hours after announcing his first concert in Romania in Bucharest on Tuesday.

The first of currently three open air concerts, planned for June 12, 13 and 14 sold out its 12.500 tickets in only 180 minutes. Concerts two and three followed with only a few hours apart, to a total of 33.000 ticket sales in only one day.

This sets a new record for the fastest selling André Rieu concerts ever.

André Rieu: “I am very proud and very happy to be playing in Romania for the first time. I have been overwhelmed by the friendliness and warmth of the people there. We will play with all out hearts for you, dear fans.”

The concerts will take place in the magical setting of the famous open air stage from Maastricht, known worldwide from André’s beloved TV-Specials, which will be set up for the first time on the Piata Constitutei in Bucharest in June 2015.
